So what...he died, get over it.

Ok so this past week we've had 4, yes, FOUR celebrity deaths! Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and Billy Mays. Of course the only one really "covered" was Micheal's, and I don't know if its justifiable, but he was an extremely HUGE superstar known all over the world, and the circumstances of his death are pretty tragic, according to some reports, he was a pill addict. Great now the King of Pop is going to be the poster child for some anti-drug campaign making it harder for me to get some darvocet when I sprain my ankle.

So aside from the deaths of Michael, Farrah, Billy and Ed, we also witnessed the death of news channels broadcasting the news. Now, don't get me wrong, Michael Jackson dying was/is a big deal, but in the era of 24/7 TV news coverage and the internet I really don't think we need to focus 24/7 on Michael Jackson. No one was focusing on Michael Jackson before he died, all of a sudden he's a God? Pahhhleeeeze. Unfortunately this is going to be just like that damn Anna Nicole crap. Greta will be all up in the Jackson family, gettin' the inside scoop. Geraldo will have that God-Damned Doctor Death on, over and over and over again... and the day time folk.. sure they're gonna cover this crap too, with little tiny pink, green and blue sprinkles of ACTUAL news. But I'm not bitter, nooo siree, I'll just get my news like I always do, via twitter. Screw it! If I wanted to hear about celebrities all damn day I'd be emailing Harvey Levin to beg for a 24/7 TMZ channel, "All celebrities, all day" Kinda like MTV only without the stupid freaking "I'm a pregnant teen" shows, well... Unless that teen is a celebrity.

You know what I think...

Here's a few things I've been thinking about recently. And I just really need to vent.

Ok first of all, what the hell is going on in Iran. Ok, yes, I know exactly what is going on in Iran. But like I've stated before, stolen elections are nothing new , just ask Norm Coleman.(Yes, before you jump down my throat about it NOT being about the election, I KNOW THIS, just needed a way to bitch about MN politics for a minute) I shudder at the thought of Al freaking Franken being my senator with Amy Klobachar, frankly I can't decide who I despise more. They're both terrible liberals and even worse human beings. But whatever. The people of the great state of Minnesota have apparently spoken. Moving on... so this Iran thing. What gets me is, even before it was trendy to support the protesters in Iran, I supported them. Because I will support anyone who is literally DYING for their FREEDOM. I knew P. Bo wouldn't. I'm almost certain that his dumbass is so fearful that those pictures we're seeing from Iran will soon be seen by the world coming from the streets of America. And to be honest, I welcome a good old fashioned revolution. Let it come. Let the people take to the streets, fight for our freedoms and liberties and fix the problems in Washington. Cuz lord knows that voting "change" into office doesn't work. That is unless that's all you want to get paid every week.

Secondly, what the hell is up with this "change"? Anyone taken the time to think that the changes that are happening are happening at break neck speed? Hell, I follow politics a little more closely than most I know and I can't even keep up. I'm STILL trying to wrap my mind around the bailouts and the Omnibus bill. That's a lot of freaking money folks. Where's it coming from? Well us, of course. Who's it going to? Corporations and entitlement programs. Oh yeah, and shovel ready public works jobs, to artificially inflate the unemployment numbers. So freaking dumb.

Thirdly, if I hear one more person say, "I can't wait for universal health care" I'm probably going to punch them in the face. I mean seriously? You can't wait? I hope you get cancer, then you will be waiting, a long ass time, and chances are, you're going to die from a very curable disease. Ever been to Regions in St. Paul? I had to go once when I thought I was dying, turns out it was just strep throat, but they thought it could have been meningitis. I sat in the waiting room with a bunch of people for 2 hours. They did a strep test, gave me a shot and sent me on my way, 4 hours later. This is exactly what I think of every time someone says "universal health care". Its sick. And regarless of how Obama sells it, its still going to be a fraud, and open to abuse and our private insurance choices will not be the most economic choices. So we'll have to choose sides on this loosing battle, pay a much higher cost for choice or pay a little for NO choice. This will break the backs of many Americans.

4th on my list of rants... Ok listen here Mr. CrazyPants (if you don't normally follow my blog, this is my name for Kim Jong Il) You stupid little pint sized human, how dare you even think about threatening the United States of America!! If we had a president with a spine you bet your sweet ass you wouldn't even be in existence. But we don't. Instead, P. Bo is going to "protect" Hawaii from the threats of a nuclear attack that will make the 4th of the July be renamed, "the day we lost Hawaii". This is, if P. Bo doesn't grow a pair in the next few weeks. I have "hope" but its hanging out with my change at the bottom of my purse.

5th! GM. My god that makes me so angry. Those two stupid freaking letters. I wish I could stop using them in protest, but I can't as they're essential to speech. Anyway, so raise your hand if you didn't think they'd file bankruptcy after getting BILLIONS in bailouts? Oh, no one...wait...you, why's your hand raised? Oh yeah, you're a freaking idiot!!!!!! Hope you get cancer and have Government insurance. So, the government hooks GM up with a few BILLION (with a "B" folks!) to get out of its troubles. Only to have to file bankruptcy anyway. Um....hey jackasses in congress, they could have filed bankruptcy months ago, and saved tax payers a few BILLION DOLLARS. But noooooooo! GM is too big to fail. Well guess what sweetheart, its not. No one is. Even you, Pelosi, as we've seen.

6th "Uhhh...well...I can't comment on that" Robert Gibbs. Grrrrr. That man makes my skin crawl and all those silly white house press folk too. Well except for maybe Jake Tapper and Major Garrett. But Mr. Tapper was a rude little punk to some friends of mine, so he's definitely #2 on that short list. The liberal bias that's seen in that room is just sickening. I have stopped watching the daily briefs on c-span. Occasionally we'll see someone unknown blogger from an unknown "news source" ask a legitimate question, but that's rare, and he only gets called on because Gibbs and Obama are equal opportunity question takers. Oh man, that just made me laugh out loud. We all know they're not. They choose the guys and gals to take questions from based on what they read those people write, if Jake Tapper wasn't working at ABC, the All Barack Channel, he probably wouldn't be called on either.

That leads me to my 7th mini rant: WTF IS ABC thinking! Now I was pissed when Obama was doing his little prime time presser crap during the super important season of American Idol, but this whole Health Care Infomercial thing he's doing with ABC is just a bunch of malarkey! I mean, C'mon!!!! I understand he wants to promote his socialism, fine. But we have PBS for state run TV! But of course ABC has to be all trendy and be the first major news network to officially become P. Bo's bitch. By the way: Hey ABC, the GOODE FAMILY, is a great show! How dare you Nazi's put it in the TV death time slot of Friday at 7:30/8:30. Bastards. Thank God for the internet, I guess...

Ok. That's enough for now. I think I got most of it out of my system. No, wait, one more... WTF is up with this HEAT! Damn you Al Gore and your damn Global Warming! Wait...its June. Nevermind. Its SUPPOSED to be warm. Forgive me, now I'm just looking for crap to complain about.

Was the DHS report RIGHT?

Ok by now we all know about the DHS "rightwing extremist" report that came out in April. Have a gander here if you happened to miss it, chances are, if you're reading this, you didn't. Well naturally have some thoughts that I need to type out. This is a link to the Left-Wing Extremist Report for reference reasons, since I know most of you probably haven't read it.LINK

In light of yesterdays events with the crazy ass white guy shooting up the Holocaust Museum in DC there was a lot of chit chat around twitter, the blogs, and various news outlets about how this and the murder of Dr. Tiller proved the DHS report to be true. Now, being objective as I often TRY to be, I decided to read the "Rightwing extremist Report" for a 5th time (I think) and wasn't really surprised by what I read. Now, I admit, when the report first came out, I was like, "Whoaaa there Mr. DHS lady...targeting the vets is a little crazy, but I'll give you the white supremacists and anti-Semites thing". I too was kind of offended and joked with everyone else about myself being targeted as a right-wing extremist. All in jest. But in all reality, I and the people with whom I associate are very far from the definition in the DHS report.

Don't get me wrong, I know plenty of people who could fall under this categorization of a "right-wing extremist" if you include anyone with a gun, those who have a conceal and carry permit, and those who are slightly more anti-government than the general populace. But that being said, they are not violent, nor have any intention to be. They are not the kind of people to start shooting up public places. These aren't the people the DHS report is targeting.

Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit—could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.

Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.

A lot of people that I follow on twitter are calling for Shep to be fired from Fox. Really folks? You first amendment rights supporting people are gonna ask for a man who was literally reading the angry emails he gets to be fired? REAAAALLY!?!?! Ohhh that's riiiiight, you're only allowed on FoxNews if your opinion coincides with those on the Right. Ok I get it. People calling him a liberal hatemonger. Wow. Really?!?! A hatemonger? Hey POT meet KETTLE, Really.

As Shep eluded to, there are some crazy ass people out there. And 99.9% of them are some sort of fringe group who often align themselves with larger groups, ie: White Supremacists often try to latch on to which ever party is less Jew loving at the moment but more often than not, tend flock to the Conservative side of the spectrum. The Earth Liberation Front often climbs under the Liberal tent. Big freaking deal. We're all grown ups and capable of independent thought, right? Just because I'm a white woman who happens to have a large Mexican family doesn't mean I'm some sort of conflicted racist. That's just stupid. Just as someone who calls himself a "conservative" doesn't mean he agrees with the opinions of Pat Roberson or an even farther extremist, James W. von Brunn. Right? The generalizations need to be watched here folks. Its an interesting time in American politics and in the world as a whole. There will ALWAYS be fringe groups out there riding the coat tails of those in power only to advance their agenda. We've seen it three times this month, Dr Tiller's murder, the murder of Pvt. William Long, and the murder of Stephen T. Johns. All acts committed by EXTREMISTS. That is a fact. Doesn't matter if its Right or Left. Reality is, as Shepard Smith said, "THEY ARE OUT THERE". And to be honest, I won't be surprised if we see more of them. So I guess I would conclude, the DHS report was, in fact, right.

This lovechild of Sulu and Wee-Man has been making so many news appearances, his privately owned news corporation is selling clips of Il-Daddy to anyone who will open their grubby little palms exposing mad paper. Thus making him able to support his rock star lifestyle watching his 20,000+ movies, mostly comprised of American films to include Rambo and James Bond, as well as travel in his magical bullet proof train to Russia... to talk about Tetris... and potatoes.

More importantly, what does this mean for everyone else? Well it means that we've got one seriously disturbed North Korean who's seen Sylvester Stallone with a .50 cal one too many times... and that can't be good for anyone. But looking at him from a more analytical standpoint. Much of his angst has to come from unbridled sexual frustration. To be completely truthful, how many men could keep their sanity with Mrs. Suk and Ms. Rim fighting over them for months on end...

Lets all tip a glass and a hat, to the one man that has too big a head to stop his nonsense, and at the same time... too short to sit at the adult table at the UN to just explain that he's not crazy... he just needs a vacation...and some in-soles. I hate politics and I hate all of you!! (not really...) *RANT*

So the past two weeks I've had the worst headache ever in the history of the world. I drank more water, slept more, worked out, ate better, tried the whole Advil, Tylenol, Excedrin route, nothing seemed to touch it, until this weekend. I spend a weekend away from my computer and only watched a little "News", pretty much just caught the "need to know" stuff via TV and twitter. And what do ya know...headache was gone! Now, being the logical person I am realized it was more than likely the extreme anger that the political world invokes in me that caused this monster of a headache. So I discovered the cause...now what? I don't know, but I think I'm gonna just rant a while. That seems to help.

With everything going on in the world I find myself getting seriously pissed off, and for those that know me, I hate being angry. I absolutely hate the way I feel, I hate being grumpy and who wants to be that "angry girl". Yuck! I mean we have a uber socialist leaning president whose policies are destroying our country, the right and left are a bunch of hate mongers, no one has freaking standards anymore, hypocrites are everywhere, everyone is all "me first and the gimme gimmies" (band ref), its disgusting! And now, I can't even be mildly offensive without some right wing or left wing lunatic calling me a racist, sexist, gender deserter, man-hater, GOD-Hater, nothing-hater, what the hell is there to be OK with? NOTHING! I have no party to associate with, the GOP is a bunch of freaking pansies, the left...well, c'mon now, I can't get along with hippies, so that just wouldn't work. Libertarians are where I fit in best, but there are some serious crack jobs on that side of the fence too.

I can rant all day long about the change I want to see, but I see neither party in office doing anything about it. Sure there's great grassroots things happening, even some not so "grassroots", things. The tea parties inspired a lot of hope in me, the 9/12 project too. But I see the same things happening over and over again, people get a fire under their asses and just sit there...and sit there, and do nothing about it! We've got the righties last week loving Dick Cheney for his foreign policy speaches, but now they're hating him because of his "marriage equality" stance. NOT NEW NEWS PEOPLE! I blogged about it last week on Critical Politics, he was saying the same stuff in 2000!! THEN the crap with the abortion Doc who was gunned down at Church. Freaking right wingers actually praising the murder of this guy! I couldn't believe it! Then the "terrorist" attack on the Army recruiting center in Arkansas, people flipping lids over that? I see no difference, MURDER IS MURDER folks. There's no, "well he kinda had a good reason..." to it. I don't see those two events as DIFFERENT, same damn thing! I don't go around killing child molesters, cuz the guy "pretty much had it comin?" No! And I most certainly wouldn't expect to get praise for doing so!

We got people pissing and moaning about Obama going on a date with his wife! O.M.G. Get over it folks! He's the freaking president of the United States! I think he earned a date with his wife. My only issue with it, the press should have paid for their own freaking transportation, that pisses me off, who the hell does Obama think he is? A damn rock star?!?! But no one was crying and complaining when Bush or Clinton, Reagan, and every other freaking president has done such a thing!!! All of a sudden its a problem? Get over yourselves! I know seems as though I'm bashing the right a lot today, its because I am! There's no cohesiveness, no unity, nothing to unite anything. A lot of intolerance and ignorance on the right that's making it so damn hard for there to be a united GOP. And anyone who doesn't agree with the loons on the right is a freaking MODERATE? Paaaahhhhleeeze! I want "Liberty and Justice for all" Is that so hard to comprehend? Not just for some people who believe in God, or just for Gays, or just for blacks or Hispanics or Jews. The same standards across the board, because we're all HUMAN and as John Locke said, "The state of nature has a law of nature to govern it, which obliges every one: and reason, which is that law, teaches all mankind, who will but consult it, that being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty, or possessions." Live and let live! Don't murder, injure, oppress, or steal. Is that so hard to comprehend? I don't think so! With nearly 7 billion people in the world, we're not all going to agree on everything, but that one thing is simple and universal!
